A recent
discussion with a good friend of mine, turned out to be about the naming of
infants. The names, at times nouns and act as an adjective
sometimes. The names Lakshmi, Lakshiputra, Kubera are
synonymous with wealth. Saraswathi, is synonymous with
knowledge, Sahana is having lot of patience, Dheera means a
courageous person and so on.
We often see the
personality of people differs drastically from their names. Some people believe
that names actually effect the future of the kids, though not sure whether
it is positive or negative
The discussion sparked
off with the names of our respective children. My daughter’s name is Pritha,
which means daughter of the mother earth and one having lots of patience. But
my little one has absolutely no indication of patience. My friend’s son is
named Nakul which means to be fast, but the boy by nature kinda
lazy!
This made me curious
about the names of the Pandava brothers. Five of them- Yudhishtira, Bheema,
Arjuna, Nakul and Sahadeva ,each one with a special power and skill
Following is a
description of their personalities from Wikipedia:
Yudhisthira's true
prowess was shown in his unflinching adherence to satya (truth) and dharma
(righteousness). Bheema is strong, equal to ten thousand elephants,
well-trained and active. Arjuna, whose name means 'bright', has an
acute sense of duty. Nakula is well known for horse caring skills, devastating
handsomeness and Sahadeva having special abilities to care for cows and
has high levels of intelligence.
This consideration
immediately made me think how the five Pandava brothers symbolize an
organization
Pandavas are lead by
Yudhishtira, adhering to Sathya and dharma. Organisations must stick to
policies, made in fairness.
Bheema’s power and
speed is needed for an organization to spread its operations.
Arjuana’s sense of
duty keeps the organization united and working towards achieving the same
goal.
Nakula’s ability
of horse keeping, is the ability of an organization for logistics and
Sahadeva’s ability of cattle rearing, symbolizes feeding the organization, in
other words making resources aka employees healthy and happy.
Policies, Power, Sense
of duty, careful logistic and happy soldiers are winning combination of
any army including the modern army of corporate world
But we still remain
with a million dollar question, who will
lead us to winning both in this world and in eternal living, as pandavas are
lead by Krshna.
I am also searching same thing , We must have Guru and Guri
ReplyDeleteVery nice thought Manju...Lord Krishna is within us and we ourself should lead us in this World and in eternal living. God is within us.
