Difference between Governance, Administration and Management



Though the word “e-Governance” was frequently heard, on a particular day, it shoot up a question in my mind. It looks stupid but the intensity of thought was so much, and I started to draft this.
The question is real simple, is it stupid too..?  lets hear it. “What is the difference between “Governance”, “Administration” and “Management”.  
Wikipedia definition for each of them as follows :-
Governance refers to "all processes of governing, whether undertaken by a government, market or network, whether over a family, tribe, formal or informal organization or territory and whether through laws, norms, power or language."
Administration is the process or activity of running a business, organization, etc.
Management in businesses and organizations is the function that coordinates the efforts of people to accomplish goals and objectives by using available resources efficiently and effectively.
UNESC (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) simply put "Governance” as the “process of decision-making and the process by which decisions are implemented (or not implemented)”

There are many theories and write-up available on internet, which distinguish between management & administration, management & governance and governance & administration.
But mostly they dealt that the bodies of organization with board of directors as “Administration” or “Governance” and the bodies with executive members as “management” , while some other talks the board of directors as “governance” and executive members as “management”.  Sagar Sumit on Quora states that
“One way to think about this is that Governance determines the "What?" - What the organization does and what it should become in the future.
 Management determines the "How?" - How the organization will reach those goals and aspirations.”
But this theory will not talk about administration, wherein mostly the governance part holds synonymous with administration functions.  
Being observant on the operations I do every day, it occurs to me that “Management co-ordinates to achieve goals and objectives.  Administration sets the goals and objective, and Governance ensures all these processes are compliant. “
