Rakesh Sharma -- The First Indian Austronaut

I remember the day in 1984, the headlines in newspapers read "Sare Jahan Se Achcha". This was the message given by Rakesh Sharma, flying astronaut, to Smt.Indiragandhi, then Prime Minister of India on satellite to earth communication systems, with the whole world listening when asked "how India looks from space?". He inspired dreams in me, and crores of children like me.
